Once upon a time a man was defined by his car, at least a young man was. Now not so much anymore as car makers are wondering why teenagers are not buying as many cars as they used to.

Maybe that’s because the cars they’re making today are not as cool as the ones they stopped making years ago. Remember the Barracuda? The Cutless Supreme? The GTO? Not only don’t they make those cars anymore, but the parent companies, Plymouth, Pontiac, and Oldsmobile are all out of business.

I write this because the new list of discontinued cars is out and the Ford Boss 302 Mustang is among them, as if the Jaguar XF.

We hear about the newer technology in cellphones and tablets coupled with th  economy being part of the reason. Those things were always there in there time. Young people never have money and at one time, even the 8 track was cutting edge. Maybe if the cars were cooler and cheaper, the young would be more apt to buy them. When was the last time you saw a car marketed to young people? When was the last time you saw a phone marketed to adults?  What is your favorite car that they don’t make anymore?
