Pumpkin picking in NJ is a great way to ring in the Fall season. Here is our region-by-region guide to Garden State pumpkin patches. Pumpkins are usually sold by the pound and we’ll be updating this post as farms set their prices, so be sure to check back often.

Pumpkin Picking in Central Jersey

Pumpkin picking season at Argos Farms runs till November 1st. The farm is open from Wednesdays through Fridays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and on weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Columbus Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Pumpkins are sold for 55 cents per pound.

General admission gives you access to the corn maze, hayride, hay mountain, duck races, lasso, corn hole, and the farm animals. Kids 2 years or younger are admitted free. General admission is $9.95 per person for those 3 to 65 years old on Thursdays and Fridays, and $11.95 per person for those 3 to 65 years old on weekends and holidays. Pony rides are an extra $5 per person.

Pumpkin picking season at Battleview Orchards runs from September 21st to October 31st from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Hayrides are available weekends only beginning Sept. 21st. Pumpkins are 69 cents per pound.

Pumpkin picking season has already started at Eastmont Orchards and runs till the orchard’s closing for the season.

The patch is open seven days a week weather permitting Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The orchard accepts cash and checks only.

Pumpkin picking season has already started at Giamarese Farm, and runs up until October 31st. In October the farm is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Educational hayrides run non-stop and give a tour of the farm, the ride is about a mile long and takes you past the farm animals. The farm also has a corn maze and pony rides.


Indian Acres Tree Farm

Pumpkin picking season begins at Indian Acres Tree Farm September 13th and runs until October 26th. The farm is open weekends in September from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekdays starting in October from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The farm is also open on Columbus Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Barrel train rides are offered for $4.00 per person and other attractions are available for kids such as pony rides for $5.00, a pumpkin-shaped bounce house $4.00, a rock-climbing wall, a playground area and face painting.


Johnson’s Corner Farm

Pumpkin picking season has already started at Johnson’s Corner Farm and runs until October 31st. Pumpkins are sold for 79 cents per pound.

Hayrides to the pumpkin patch run weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and cost $3.75 per person.

On weekends, the farm has a moon bounce house and corn maze open for $3.75.

Tickets to the Animal Farm cost $7.50 for kids and $3.75 for adults and includes a bag of animal feed so that kids can pet and feed cows, chicken, sheep or goats.


Terhune Orchards

Pumpkin picking season has already started at Terhune Orchards and runs until the end of October. The farm is open from Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission to the farm’s Fall Family Fun Festival on weekends costs $5.00 for people over 3 years old and includes free pumpkin painting, live music, access to the corn maze, a hay bale maze and wagon rides.

The farm also has barnyard animals like sheep and goats, horses and chickens and offers pony rides or pedal tractor rides for kids.

Pumpkin picking has already started at Von Thun Farms, and runs until October 26th. The farm is open weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.

Pumpkins cost 69 cents per pound, and there is a $2.75 minimum per pumpkin.

Visitors can pay one General Admission price for unlimited access to hayrides, access to the 6-acre corn maze, farm animals, moon bounce, pumpkin bowling, corn hole and the Singing Chicken Show. There is no cost to enter the pumpkin patch. General admission costs $10.95 per person but children 36 inches and under are free. On October 12-13 admission is $13.95 due to Von Thun Farm’s Fall Festival.

For an additional price, there is a Pumpkin Blaster, $2 per shot, a Corn Cannon $2 for 3 shots, pony rides for $5 each and face painting for $4 and up.

The farm accepts cash, checks, Visa, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. There is also an ATM at the farm for your convenience.

Pumpkin picking season at Windsor Farm runs until the end of October. Visitors can pick pumpkins any time on weekends from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Prices for pumpkins haven’t been determined yet.

Windsor Farm will be hosting its Pumpkin Festival on October 12th & October 19th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $8.00. Children 12 and under can get in for free.

Hayrides to the pumpkin patch cost $4.00 per person for 2014.

Pumpkin picking season has already begun at Heritage Vineyards October 5th, and is happening on weekends during October. Hayrides to the pumpkin patch run from 11 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Pumpkins are sold for 60 cents a pound.

Hayrides to the pumpkin patch cost $3.00 per person, and children under 2 can ride for free.

For adults, there is the full vineyard and wine tasting room to enjoy five free wine samples.


Maugeri’s Farm Market

You can pick pumpkins at Maugeri Farms every Saturday and Sunday in October. The farm is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Hayrides to the pumpkin patch start running at 10 a.m. and cost $3.00 per person, but kids 2 years old and younger are free.

Cash and debit or credit cards, and checks are accepted as payment.

Kids activities cost $3.00 per child and kids can enjoy a hay bale maze, a treasure hunt and pumpkin decorating.

Pumpkin picking has already started at Mood’s Farm Market and runs until November 1st. The patch is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed on Sundays.

Hayrides to the pumpkin patch are an extra charge, but riders get a cup of cider, a doughnut and a small pumpkin all free of charge. Pumpkin hayrides can be taken on Saturdays.


Sahl’s Father Son Farm

Pumpkin picking at Sahl’s Father Son Farm has aleady started, and runs until November 1st. The farm is open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Saturdays, the farm opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m. The farm is closed on Sundays. Tickets are not sold after 7 p.m., but the grounds will remain open until 9 p.m.

Pumpkins are priced by diameter. They run from $2 for a six-inch pumpkin to $10 for a 12+ inch pumpkin. The farm accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and cash. Parking is free.

Pony rides are available for $3 each on Saturdays in October.

Admission to the farm is $9 per person ages 3 and up. Family and group rates are also available. Admission includes unlimited access to all mazes, hay rides, pig races and Kiddie Koral Activities.

Hayrides to the pumpkin patch (it’s the only way to get there) cost $3.75 per person plus tax. Hayrides run weekdays at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. On weekends, hayrides run from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., every half hour.

A corn maze is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and cost $8.50 for kids ages 4 to 12 and $10.00 for adults 13 years and older.

The remaining dates for “Flashlight Fridays” are October 3rd and 10th.

NJ Pumpkin Picking in North Jersey

Pumpkin picking season has started at Norz Hill Farm and the farm is open weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and weekdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Pumpkins cost 63 cents per pound and cash, checks and Visa or MasterCard are all accepted.

Hayrides out to the pumpkin patch cost $4.00 per person. A corn maze costs $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids 5 and under. Pony rides are available for $5.00 per ride.

Extended hayrides “Out to the farm” let riders see the farm animals in addition to stopping at the pumpkin patch. That costs $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids 5 and under.
