A large amount of New Jersey residents are ready to leave the state. Are you among their ranks?

This morning our listeners explained why they're moving out of the Garden State rather than staying.

Al, who used to live in Manchester, said he moved to North Carolina a few years ago because it's cheaper, and he doesn't miss his home state at all. Greg of North Caldwell shared a similar sentiment when said he won't retire here because of the cost.

Joe from Stirling said he's unhappy with New Jersey's political climate, and nothing's keeping him here; he's about to move to Florida. Brian, who called in from the Holland Tunnel, said he likes his town and his neighbors, but politics are a source of disappointment for him, too.

Judging by our audience, there's clearly no shortage of people who want to leave. But for those of you who are still here, what's making you stay?

I love this state, despite its flaws. Karen, who called from Flemington, said she moved to Florida in 2008, but still visits in the summer because of family. Her advice to people who complain about New Jersey is, "Stop complaining and just leave."
