Speaking of stomach-turning stories how about this one. A Jersey City career criminal who shot a 9 year old boy and an 11 year old girl on a playground in 2003, is charged with new counts of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon by a felon, and other charges over an incident in a housing complex. He had also been charged last week on narcotic and weapons charges over another incident. He had also been charged with felony murder in 2007. Before the 2003 shooting of the children on the playground, he had served 30 months from 2001 to 2003 for Distributing drugs within 1000 feet of a school. Here's the rub: for the shooting of the 9 year old and the 11 year old while they were at play, he served 16 months...16 months, in prison.

Just what the Hell was he doing out? Another great argument for doing away with Judicial Tenure and tossing off the bench any judge who doesn't have the wit to recognize a career predator when he stands right there in front of him.
