I’m so glad Martin Brodeur is staying in New Jersey with the Devils. Wouldn’t it be great if all players could finish their careers with the teams they made their careers with?

Imagine if instead of retiring, Derek Jeter decided to travel from team to team in an attempt to keep playing? It wouldn’t be right. Just like it wasn’t right for Joe Namath to finish his career a Ram or Ed Giacomin coming back to Madison Square Garden where he gave Ranger fans so many great moments, wearing a Detroit jersey, or for that matter Mark Messier coming back to the Garden in the uniform of the Vancouver Canucks,

Philadelphia Eagles receiver Harold Carmichael leaves the team and goes to the Dallas Cowboys where he catches one pass for 7 yards then retires from the game. What was the point?

Who were the players you hated to see fade out their careers in another jersey?
