Did you ever get pulled over for something that just makes you shake your head? D&D want to hear your stories. Are you part of the exclusive club of New Jersey residents who received a ticket for having the "Garden State" part of their license plate slightly covered? I am! Did you get a moving violation for double parking because your engine was on? Let us know how petty the ticket was in the comment section below.

Here are some of the dumbest tickets our callers received:

Frank from Wharton got a speeding ticket after hitting a deer on a north Jersey backroad. The cop was not anywhere near the scene when the deer-on-car collision took place, but the officer decided he must have been speeding because why else would the deer be in the shape its in.

A few years ago, Lou from South Orange was lost in Irvington. He saw a cop parked in a bus station parking lot, so he drove over there to ask for directions to get back to the highway. After Lou was given proper directions, the cop issued him a ticket for driving illegally through the bus station to talk to him.

Will from Browns Mills was issued a ticket because he was driving too slow. I have heard of other cases like this, and sometimes I agree with enforcing that law, but Will got the ticket because the cop that gave him that ticket was following him very closely and had his brights on the whole time. Will was driving slowly because that very cop was blinding him.

Here's my favorite story from the hour D&D talked about this: Rob from Edison is a volunteer firefighter. He was driving through Clark when he was pulled over and given a ticket for having the blue lights volunteer firefighters are given (with a permit). The lights were off, but they were in a different town than the one he is a volunteer in.

Have you ever been issued a dumb ticket like this? We'd love to hear your story. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
