What Do You Think of Summit’s New Ban on School Drop Offs? [POLL]
If you forgot your homework or your lunch and you’re in the Summit school system, you are going to be out of luck.
According to this article, starting in September, parents will not be permitted to drop off anything for their kids and there will be no more unannounced visits to the school whatsoever.
The reasoning behind the restriction is for the purpose of altering the daily culture and preventing kids from just showing up unannounced.
Once caller mentioned to Jim that she worked in a NJ school system and she thought this system being implemented by Summit is a great idea. The caller said that from a responsibility standpoint, the only way to make students accountable for their actions is to implement a system like this one.
What do you think? Do you agree with the total unannounced visitation and drop off ban? Take our poll and let us know your opinion.
