I spent the weekend on a football pilgrimage to Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It's a religious experience if you're a football fan and it would have been so much better if the Giants had won the Sunday night game.

While there though I realize there are certain things in Jersey that you take for granted that are missing when you travel. Among them:

Good Pizza- We spent Saturday night in a cigar bar and when we ordered a pie, I was expecting a Jersey type pie with the dough the way we're used to. What I got was more like a national franchise pie which is like a roll with toppings.

Sarcasm- Everyone was so friendly and polite, which was great but when I gave them a little Jersey sarcasm all I got were funny looks. Then again that also happens to me in Jersey....

Taylor Ham- Bratwurst is the meat of choice in Green Bay and of course a lot of cheese in several different forms. It would have been great to order a pork roll, egg, and cheese, just to show them how much better our breakfast sandwiches are. By the way, why isn't pork roll everywhere? It should be!

Low gas prices- One thing we always miss when we're driving in other states, but thanks to our powers that be, we won't have to worry about THAT anymore!

Jug handles- When you drive in New Jersey, you get used to getting in the right lane to make a left turn. I kept having to cut people off to get over to the left. What I didn't miss was the bird flipping when I did it. I guess that's a universal thing!

What do you miss about New Jersey when you travel?
