Weird Facts About English Language You Never Knew

The more you know, the more you realize you’ll never know everything. Did you know there was no word for the color orange in the English language until about 450 years ago? How is that possible? Did you know what jirble means? Yes, jirble is a word, and it very specifically means to spill a liquid while pouring it due to your hands trembling. Or how about the fact that 11% of the entire English language is just the letter ‘e’. Or if you wrote out every number as a word, one, two, three, and so on, that you wouldn’t use the letter ‘b’ until you hit a billion.
