President Barack Obama, in his weekly radio and Internet address, promoted his White House task force on the problem of sexual assault on college campuses.

Obama called sexual assault an affront to basic decency and humanity and told victims that they're not alone. "I've got your back," the president said. While government has a role in such assaults, he said, it's up to everyone to teach young people to help put an end to the crime.

In the Republican address, Sen. Roy Blunt of Missouri attacked Obama's economic policies, saying they are hurting poor Americans. He says Obama should join Republicans in efforts to grow the economy.
