Heading into the Easter weekend and the beginning of Passover we are faced with the potential for traffic tie-ups in the usual and some new places this year.

NJ Turnpike Exit 7A

Top that off with great weather right through Sunday and it will make for more people out in their cars.      Good Friday is traditionally a much lighter than normal traffic day but Passover begins at sundown on Friday so whatever commuter volume will most likely be early afternoon.

Easter Sunday and the great weather should make for extra traffic throughout the day.

Here is a list of potential New Jersey traffic hot spots for this weekend

New Jersey Turnpike :   Normal Holiday traffic delays in both directions between Exits 8a and 6 in the construction zone.

Route 78 :   The new construction zone between the Parkway and Turnpike in Union County could be unfamiliar for many holiday travelers.

Route 80 : Construction Zone volume near Route 287 and volume into the Delaware Water Gap and Pennsylvania.

Route 42 -- Southbound near Creek Road

AC Expressway -- construction zone volume in Winslow, Pleasantville and Atlantic City.

Goethals Bridge and Outerbridge Crossing : Volume leaving New Jersey -- Especially for those who do not have EZ Pass.

Let us know about the traffic delays you encounter below! We'll have New Jersey Fast Traffic every 15 minutes 'round the clock all weekend with instant updates on the traffic page at  NJ1015.com.
