This week YouTube launched its new virtual reality friendly technology and 360-degree videos like this one now allow the viewer the option to move the camera anywhere they want.

If you are on a computer with a browser that supports the 360 video (Chrome is your best bet), you can control the camera by clicking and dragging your mouse around the video, or by using the controls in the upper left hand side.

What's even cooler is watching the above video on your smart phone using the YouTube app. There you can just move your phone around to control the camera.

If you want to try virtual reality, you will have to get a Samsung GearVR headset or a cheaper option is to purchase a 'Google Cardboard' kit which will let you wear your phone on your head like a VR headset. I have yet to try either of these, but I imagine they are not for the squeamish.
