It was a white-knuckle high speed chase caught on dashcam video that led to the arrest of a suspect in New Jersey wanted for a murder earlier in the day.

Palisades Interstate Parkway Police said David Campos or Troy, NY,  drove his Chrysler 2000 at a speed approaching 90 mph on the wrong side of the highway into oncoming traffic into New Jersey, weaving between the shoulder and on-coming traffic.

Once in Fort Lee, New Jersey State Police joined the chase as Campos, 45,  exited the road at Fletcher Avenue and got onto Routes 1 & 9 and continued onto the southbound eastern spur of the New Jersey Turnpike, police said.

Police said Campos was arrested in traffic at the Exit 18E toll plaza.

The Journal News said Campos was wanted for the murder of former girlfriend Denise Gely in Troy, just outside Albany. Campos and Gely have three children together and were due in family court on Monday, according to the newspaper.

Campos was taken to the New Jersey headquarters of the Palisades Parkway Police for questioning and processing, the report said.
