We all do this – there’s no denying.

When I’m in the gym, I see guys all the time admiring themselves and their young physiques and say to myself – some day they might not appreciate what they’re seeing.

Right now I’m not.

Looking good naked would be a laudable goal – but for now the reality is not so much.

And it’s been put in a song by the New Jersey band, The Snake Oil Willie Band”.
Reminiscent of “The Soggy Bottom Boys” from “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou” – so far the video’s gone viral with as many as 2 million views!

"... a Sussex County band's recent viral hit — "I Don't Look Good Naked Anymore" — is still surprising band members with how the music video has spread — with radio requests pouring in from across the United States as well as from Germany and Holland.

Drummer Tony Krucinski, who founded The Snake Oil Willie Band in 1995, said the humorous country song started when he told his fellow band members at a photo shoot this past spring that he had always wanted to write a song called "I Don't Look Good Naked Anymore."

Krucinski said this sparked an idea in Seth Fleishman, lead guitar, who wrote the first verse on his way home from the photo shoot.

"Between Stillwater to Sussex, he wrote the tune," Krucinski said.

"I thought it was a great-sounding title," Fleishman said. "I called up Tony along the way home and sang him the first verse. Within half hour (of getting home), I made a recording."

Fleishman said everyone who heard the song in the early demo version "thought it was really funny" so they decided "to do something different" and make a music video, which was shot by bass player Frank DeBonis.

"We're just a classic rock bar band and all of a sudden (this song) just exploded," DeBonis said.

The Snake Oil Willie Band is next scheduled to play at Sheridan's Restaurant in Andover Saturday.
