TRENTON — What will Governor Christie announce on Tuesday?

He has called a "press announcement" for 11:30 a.m., but did not indicate what he will be speaking about. The governor will not be taking questions from reporters.

Another unusual aspect about this event is its location, in the rotunda of the Statehouse. Christie usually holds his press conferences in his outer office there.

Speculation immediately led to a possible announcement about an appointment to the Trump administration. Rep. Tom Price, R-GA, will officially be announced as the new Secretary of Health and Human Services on Tuesday, and there has been no other word of other appointments.

On Townsquare Media's "Ask the Governor" program last week, Christie said he intends to serve out his full term as governor until January 2018.

"The only thing I said that I would consider doing was Vice President, and (Trump) selected Governor (Mike) Pence. Since that time, I've been saying consistently that I was going to serve the rest of my term, and I'm serving the rest of my term."
