WATCH: Bridgegate committee questions Regina Egea

The Select Committee on Investigation is scheduled to take testimony Thursday from Regina Egea, director of Gov. Chris Christie‘s Authorities Unit and the person he wants to take over as his next chief of staff. Watch the hearing here.

Lawmakers are expected to ask her about being forwarded an email from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's executive director last September, ordering that closed approach lanes to the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee be reopened.

She also may be asked about editing the statement of a Port Authority official who previously appeared before lawmakers.

Lawmakers say they are holding off on calling more people to testify, partly to avoid conflicting with a federal criminal investigation.
