We kicked off the big day at the Celtic Cottage in Long Branch enjoying a traditional Irish breakfast as Big Joe broadcasted his show.

After a few pints of Guinness and an Irish coffee or two, we loaded up the Big Yellow Van and the Long Branch Trolley and made our way to the 2017 Belmar-Lake Como St. Patrick's Day Parade.

The cold didn't stop anyone from celebrating their Irish heritage, whether real or honorary. Main Street was lined with thousands of bundled-up spectators enjoying the bagpipes, marching bands, Irish step dancers and the many, many parade floats.

It's always so much fun to be a part of the parade and I am always amazed that so many people in NJ can play the bagpipes... Seriously, as soon as one group would fade down the parade path, another was coming to fill the silence.

If you couldn't make it out today, we put together this video recap and photo gallery so you could see all the fun. Those who came out, thanks for making it another great year!
