Was Chris Christie at Donald Trump's press conference on Tuesday night?

The Republican front runner was at the podium at his Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida accepting victory in Tuesday's presidential primaries when he called out for the governor.

“Chris Christie’s here someplace. The governor of New Jersey. Great prosecutor. I watched what he did to Marco (Rubio). Where’s Chris? He's around here someplace," Trump said. "When he came and called and he said I've seen this. It's an amazing thing. It's a movement."

Trump looked around the room but continued with his comments.

Christie had said he was taking a few days off to celebrate his 30th wedding anniversary with wife Mary Pat, but did not make public his destination. He has been criticized for vacationing while negotiations between NJ Transit and its employee unions continue, with a possible strike that could be catastrophic for commuters just days away.

A Christie spokesman told NJ Advance Media "He's vacationing in Florida with his wife and daughter, but he was not at the speech tonight."

The Wall Street Journal reported that the governor may represent Trump at a Republican fundraising dinner in Florida on Saturday. The strike, which officials estimate could cause backups of as much as 23-miles on highways leading to the New Jersey-New York crossings, would go into effect 12:01 a.m. Sunday.
