Wallenda Makes It Across Niagara Falls [VIDEO]

There was "wind coming from every which way," mist so powerful it clouded his vision and an unfamiliar wire beneath him. But Nik Wallenda didn't let that stop him from becoming the first person to walk on a tightrope across the Niagara Falls.

The daredevil walked 1,800 feet across the widest part of the gorge of the roaring falls separating the U.S. and Canada.

A tethered Wallenda accomplished the feat Friday night as an estimated 112,000 people watched from the shoreline and millions more watched a live television broadcast.

Afterward, he told reporters that he felt "blessed" and on "cloud nine."

The seventh-generation member of the famed Flying Wallendas said his ancestors were on his mind as he made his historic walk.
