VOTE: Red Bank’s Young Rising Sons score major record deal.
Their genre seems to be pop-rock from what I can tell.
But if the video below is any indication of what they do musically, they’re radio ready.
It’s taken at least 5 years of grinding out tunes in the New Jersey music scene, but it’s all paid off for Andy, Dylan, Julian, and Steve, who’ve upgraded from their small, New York-based label Dirty Canvas Records, and signed with Interscope Records, a premier, international company that also manages worldwide successes Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani and Lady Gaga.
The are currently on tour with label-mates The 1975, and will be appearing this coming Sunday in a sold-out show at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville.
Do you think the Young Rising Sons will make it onto mainstream radio?
I do. However there's one caveat.
It's called the "sophomore jinx!" Record companies are hot on new groups, but lack in the development department.
Meaning once you've released an album - you have to hope and pray the label gives you the support to promote and develop your act.
But at this point, they sound very promising.
