Here's are this week's top athletes:

Baseball – Mitch Walker, Sr., P, Pennsville

In his first start in two years after missing last season with a shoulder injury, Walker held the state’s No. 1 team, Gloucester Catholic, to two runs on five hits in 4 1/3 innings while also reaching base in all five of his plate appearances to help lead the way in Pennsville’s 12-2 upset in five innings. Walker also went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI in a 10-0 win over Gloucester Tech earlier in the week.

Softball – Devin Durando, Sr., P, Indian Hills

Durando, a University of Albany recruit, struck out 21 batters in a complete-game three-hitter as Indian Hills edged High Point 1-0 in nine innings in a showdown of two of the top 10 teams in the state. The Albany recruit also threw a two-hit shutout with nine strikeouts and no walks in a 6-0 win over Paramus prior to the win over High Point.

Boys lacrosse – Kyle Karsian, Sr., Attack, Ramapo

Karsian scored twice in a 6-5 upset of a top-10 team in the state, Don Bosco Prep, finished with two goals and three assists in a 19-3 win over Fair Lawn, and tallied three goals in a 10-5 victory over Glen Rock.

Boys track – Sean Lyons, Sr., Morristown

Lyons won a pair of golds, including an individual victory in the 5,000-meter race (15:02.09), despite blustery conditions at the sixth annual Metuchen Relays.

Boys golf – Dawson Jones, Jr., Howell

Jones, who finished second in the state at last year’s NJSIAA Meet of Champions, kicked off his season with a 78 to earn the individual title by a stroke at the Wall Invitational at Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune.

Now it's your time to vote! Voting ends Friday 4/11 at NOON.
