Vigil planned for comedian injured with Tracy Morgan
JERSEY CITY (AP) — A prayer vigil is scheduled in Jersey City for Ardie Fuqua, the comedian who was injured in the same car crash that hurt Tracy Morgan.
Fuqua's mother Doris Fuqua tells the Jersey Journal that he is getting three hours of physical therapy each day and is also being treated for brain trauma.
She says his spirits are "surprisingly good."
The vigil for the 43-year-old comic is scheduled in Jersey City, his hometown, on Monday evening.
Morgan is also in a rehabilitation center. The June 7 wreck on the New Brunswick killed comedian James McNair, who went by the name Jimmy Mack.
Truck driver Kevin Roper has been charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto.
