Video shows firefighters battling 3-alarm fire at Jersey Shore

SEA GIRT — A three-alarm fire broke out at a Monmouth County home on Wednesday afternoon.

Video shows flames coming out of the roof of the two story home on Chicago Boulevard in Sea Girt.

The fire forced the closure of nearby Route 71 between Main Street and Essex Avenue in Manasquan.

Spokeswoman Diane Concannon of the New Jersey chapter of the American Red Cross said she was not aware if the nonprofit would be assisting with this fire. The organization has assisted with nine fires across the state this week, she said.
