ATLANTIC CITY — A woman reportedly visiting family at a hospital across the street from the Caesars Hotel and Casino Parking Garage captured dramatic footage of a man being saved from jumping off the 10th floor of the deck.

According to police, the incident happened around 9 a.m. on Monday morning, when officers found a 46-year-old city resident sitting on the ledge of the parking garage. The man told police he planned to commit suicide before Sgt. Joseph Falcone started a conversation that police say lasted almost two hours.

Falcone can be seen in the video pulling the man safely off the ledge.

Video of the rescue itself can be seen about 30 seconds before the footage ends. The man was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's City Division for evaluation. Police have not disclosed his identity.

Gladys Brantley, the woman who shot the video, told Breakingac.com that she was nervous while filming the incident "only because I didn't want him to jump."
