Police in Cumberland County are searching for a suspect whose image was captured on surveillance pouring an accelerant onto the exterior of a building and setting it on fire in Hopewell Township on Wednesday.

According to a press release by the New Jersey State Police, troopers responded to the Hopewell Food Market on Shiloh Pike at 2:52 a.m. for a report of a structure fire.

"Members of the NJSP Arson Bomb Unit, Criminal Investigations Office, and N.J. State Fire Marshall’s Office responded to the scene to assist with the investigation," NJSP said in the press release.

During the course of an investigation, law enforcement officials secured footage from a video surveillance camera on the premises and were able to capture still images of the man they believe allegedly ignited the blaze. The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, age 25-30. he is believed to be between 5'10" and 6 feet tall, weighing between 175 and 190 pounds.

"The suspect was seen fleeing the scene on a bicycle," authorities said in the release.

State Police also posted the images of the suspect on their Facebook page in an effort to locate the individual.
