Victor Martinez – A Tiger or a Pussycat? You Decide

In a play that would make Pete Rose cringe, Tigers DH Victor Martinez after being waved home in a game against the Kansas City Royals, abruptly turned and went to the dugout rather than take a run at catcher Salvatore Perez who was waiting at home plate with the ball to tag him out.  As they say in Monty Python’s Holy Grail, “When danger reared it’s ugly head, brave Martinez turned and fled."
