High temperatures yesterday reached 100 at Newark Liberty Airport.

That was not a record, though. The old record was set in 2012, one year ago, with a high of 104 degrees.

Sunny, very hot and humid again today in New Jersey.  Highs are expected to be from 95 to 100, but 80s at the beach with a sea breeze.  Watch for the chance of a shower or gusty thunderstorm later this afternoon or this evening.

The ocean is in the low 70s.

After any evening thunderstorms end, more very warm and humid weather overnight with statewide lows from 73 to 83.

Partly sunny, hot and humid Saturday with highs in the low to mid 90s.  A shower or gusty thunderstorm seems likely at any point tomorrow, especially in the afternoon or evening.

Clouds and sunshine Sunday with somewhat less humidity and highs in the upper 80s to possibly 90, but cooler near the ocean.

There's still the chance, especially Sunday morning, of a few showers.

Enjoy your weekend.
