First, Bruce Springsteen announced a world tour. The Rolling Stones seem awfully close to announcing a tour of their own to celebrate half a century of existence. Today, after months of speculation, Van Halen has officially announced a reunion tour for 2012, celebrating 40 years. The band will consist of original lead singer David Lee Roth, Eddie Van Halen on guitar, Alex Van Halen on drums and Eddie's son, Wolfgang on bass. There will also be a new studio album to follow.

According to the video below, tickets go up for sale on January 10th. Dates have not been posted yet, but check back to NJ1015.com for updates on that. If you are a classic rock fan, be assured that 2012 should be a great year.
