Update: Steel Pier Observation Wheel officially opening in October

We told you earlier this month that the brand new state of the art observation wheel could open as early as the first week of September.

That has been pushed back a month and it looks like the wheel will be operational the first week of October, a little more than a month away.

It is an intricate piece of machinery with a lot more amenities than you average 'ferris wheel' and is in still in the prep stage at this point. It is the third tallest wheel in the country and promises views of, not only all of Atlantic City, but a good portion of New Jersey's southern coastline and beyond.

The 40 climate controlled gondola's will be able to accommodate food and drink and several passengers. So mark your calendar for the first week in October for the grand opening of the giant observation wheel on the legendary Steel Pier in Atlantic City!
