The latest college sex scandal has another storied coaching career hanging in the balance. This time, it's long- time Syracuse University men's basketball head coach Jim Boeheim. His 30 year right-hand man, Bernie Fine has been accused of sexual molestation of a former ball boy  years ago. Syracuse won't come under the same scrutiny as Penn State did because Syracuse has seemed to have had no knowledge of the incident and University Chancellor Nancy Cantor moved swiftly to fire Fine and distance him from the University.

The person who very well may get caught up in this, is the man who rushed to defend his long time assistant, is Jim Boeheim. Boeheim was adamant that Fine got caught up in a money-grabbing situation and in no way shape or form was guilty. Boeheim was quick to dismiss it, saying Fine's accuser 'ran out of money.'

Now that more details are coming out and even Fine's own wife admitted that her husband has a problem (see video above with graphic language), Boeheim finds himself on the wrong side of the fence, while attempting to show loyalty to an old friend. When Syracuse fired Fine, it made a statement to tell the world, 'We're not hiding anything and we won't stand for this.' So what happens to the man who leads the basketball program and has staunchly defended his former assistant, saying it's nothing more than money grab situation?

While Boeheim may have had zero knowledge of what Fine had done, he didn't take the time to find out what was true and what wasn't, prior to speaking out. Now Boeheim may find himself in the same exact spot as another legendary college coach, Joe Paterno. Showing loyalty,  may soon make Boeheim  the next hall of fame coach to be suddenly unemployed.
