Uncle Sam is offensive? Ramapo College is ridiculous

Outrageous development at New Jersey's Ramapo College.

The administration cancels an event scheduled by several student groups because of the use of "Uncle Sam" in the advertising posters. It was too "military and recruitment oriented." You've got to be kidding me.

What is wrong in our society when the forces of political correctness defy logic and attack an iconic figure in American military recruitment history? Uncle Sam was used to encourage young men to get out and fight our enemies in World War One. Why is this a negative?

This falls under what I call the #FakeOffended. Pretending to be offended by something in order to look like a higher intellectual person, It's absurd considering how many real problems we face as a nation and the person responsible for canceling the event should be fired.
