Two Newark teenagers have been arrested in the armed robbery and murder of a city convenience store owner last week.

Essex County prosecutors say 18-year-old Isiah Adams and a 16-year-old boy face murder and robbery charges stemming from the slaying of 37-year-old Miguel Torres. He was shot to death Tuesday as he handed over money during the robbery at the JNC Mini Mart in Newark.

The younger suspect also faces similar charges in the Dec. 28 slaying of a Newark man who was seriously injured during a Dec. 28 robbery. The man died at a hospital several days later.

It's not known if Adams or the juvenile had retained lawyers.
