Authorities would not identify either victim or provide specific details on their conditions, saying only that both were being treated at hospitals. The Record of Woodland Park reports that one of the men was unconscious when he was rescued.

The men apparently fell through the ice in Bloomingdale around noon Tuesday. Authorities say that some nearby residents called 911 after hearing cries for help.

Borough Fire Chief Michael Hudson told the newspaper that three firefighters in full ice-rescue suits made their way several hundred feet out to where the men had fallen through and pulled them from the water.
