A dispute on Twitter led to a shooting in Teaneck in January, according to police.

Teaneck Police told the Bergen Record 21-year-old Fady Nazir was working with an "unknown co-conspirator" to lure a person to Hill Street in the Bergen County community and recruited four others to help carry out the plan.

A car parked on Hill Street was hit by bullets, with two cars seen leaving the area and four people hiding behind the car, according to the report.

The report said police charged Nazir, 21; Erick Green, 20; Manual Habashee, 19; Harold Mercado, 18; and Sebastian Flores, 19 with conspiracy to commit murder

The shooting happened as a result of messages on Twitter but police did not disclose the content of the exchanges, according to the report.
