Trump said he would demand CNN pay him to appear in next GOP debate

Donald Trump joked Monday night that he may charge CNN for appearing in the next GOP primary debate, but probably won't because he'd be called a "chicken."

Trump bragged to about 5,000 backers at a rally in Georgia that he has been a ratings boon for networks hosting the presidential forums.

But Trump had a suggestion for the upcoming debate.

He would demand that CNN pay $5 million for him to appear in the next debate, scheduled for Dec. 15 in Las Vegas.

Trump said he would give the money to programs that help veterans.
