Donald Trump says he will delay the announcement of his vice presidential candidate, expected originally to be formally made Friday, because of the attack in Nice, France that killed dozens.

Several outlets reported Thursday Trump had selected Indiana Gov. Mike Pence above New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie or Newt Gingrich, and that Pence had accepted — though the Trump camp has made no formal announcement.

Trump had been scheduled to make his announcement at 11 a.m. a hotel in midtown Manhattan.
