NEWTOWN, Penn — Donald Trump returns to the area on Friday less than a week after an appearance in front of a New Jersey Hindu group.

Pennsylvania Republican delegate Jim Worthington will host a a rally at his Newtown Athletic Club, scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. The event is free but attendees must sign up in advance.

Worthington was at the Republican National Convention after spending $30,000 to be elected as an "unbound delegate" last April according to MSNBC. At the time, Worthington said he was personally voting for Trump but would support whoever won the popular vote in the Pennsylvania presidential primary.

Some members of the club are not happy that Worthington is hosting the rally, which will create a tight parking situation at the health and fitness club, located about five minutes from Route 95. Worthington told the Newtown Patch that three people have canceled their membership.

Worthington told Patch negative comments were not going to stop him from hosting a "once in a lifetime event for someone who could potentially be the next president."

Trump appeared last Saturday night at the Republican Hindu Coalition Victims of Terror charity concert to benefit Kashmir and Hindu refugees.

Like Worthington, RHC founder Shalli Kumar is a supporter of Trump. Kumar told New Jersey 101.5 the Republican presidential nominee's comments to Billy Bush recorded off-air in 2005 — in which he bragged about kissing and groping women without their consent — was "locker room talk."

"This is not where our political dialogue should be. It should be what's all happening in the world. Yet we are concerned about someone a lot of years ago making remarks like this. To me that's silly," Kumar said.

The Newtown event is located down the road from a farm where Mitt Romney held a rally just before Election Day in 2012. Gov. Chris Christie, who put a hold on campaigning for Romney after Superstorm Sandy hit New Jersey, was criticized for not making the quick trip across the Delaware River to the rally.

Christie has no public events on his schedule for Friday.
