JACKSON — An overturned truck on Route 195 near Six Flags Great Adventure killed one person on Saturday.

State Police spokesman Sgt. Jeff Flynn said Charles Markley, 50, of Blackwood lost control of his 3-axel dump truck on the eastbound side and swerved onto the center median near Exit 16 for the theme park and flipped over.  The accident happened around 10:35 a.m.

Flynn said Markley was entrapped by the truck and died at the scene.

It's the second fatal crash in that area of the highway in the past month. A Neptune man was killed Aug. 30 when his motorcycle broke down on the eastbound side near the same exit.
