Truck Fire Causes Delays On New Jersey Turnpike

A truck fire is causing problems on the New Jersey Turnpike southbound at exit 8 in East Windsor.

The right lane is still blocked south of exit 8A near the merge to the fire at exit 8; all lanes had previously been closed.

The box truck that caught fire is a box truck carrying oxygen acetylene, a flammable material used with welding. The flre has been extinguished.

Officials were concerned about an explosion.

There are delays on Route 130 in Cranbury as the commuters use the road as an alternate route.
