The Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont winner breezed five furlongs in 59.2 seconds on Sunday.

Trainer Bob Baffert plans to ship American Pharoah to Del Mar, north of San Diego, on Monday, along with several other horses in his stable ahead of that track's summer meet opener on Thursday.

American Pharoah and jockey Martin Garcia sat behind two other horses working together on the backstretch before the champion moved past one on the outside coming out of the turn. It was the third timed workout for American Pharoah since June 6 when he became racing's first Triple Crown winner in 37 years.

Baffert didn't indicate whether American Pharoah will work out over Del Mar's new dirt surface or when he will ship to Monmouth Park in New Jersey for his next start in the $1 million Haskell Invitational on Aug. 2.
