Mercer County prosecutors say Trenton police responded to four separate shootings between Friday and Saturday night. It didn't appear that any of the shootings were connected, though the investigations were all ongoing Sunday.

Shawntay Ross, a 39-year-old Ewing resident, died early Sunday after he was shot in the area of Walnut Avenue and Chambers Street. The other man killed, 24-year-old Jovan Marino, died after he was shot late Friday night on Rosemont Avenue.

Trenton Police Director Ernest Parrey Jr. said the department has put "extra resources" on the streets to stem the violence and help support the investigations into the shootings.

No arrests have been made in any of the shootings.
