Stanley Davis must serve four years of the sentence imposed Tuesday before becoming eligible for parole. He pleaded guilty in January to two counts of official misconduct.

The 51-year-old Davis, a supervisor with the Trenton Water Works, admitted having utility crews perform the side jobs at private homes in 2010. Prosecutors say Davis and the workers also received emergency overtime pay.

Davis says his brother had nothing to do with the scheme.

But Mack faces his own unrelated legal troubles. He's accused of accepting bribes in a parking garage development deal set up by the FBI as a sting operation.
