Traffic Alert Texts for Tuesday, January 27

3:30 p.m. - PATH – Normal service will resume Wednesday morning at 5:30 a.m. Currently, PATH trains are operating on a weekend schedule with service operating every 15 minutes from Newark to World Trade Center and from Journal Square to 33rd Street via Hoboken. This service will continue until midnight, at which time a normal overnight weekday schedule will resume with trains operating every 35 minutes until the normal rush-hour service begins.

3:23 p.m. - Amtrak – Service resumes of Acela Express and Northeast Regional trains on a modified schedule with reduced frequencies between New York and Boston on Wednesday, January 28. A full schedule of trains will operate between New York and Washington.

1:32 p.m. – NJ Transit - A full weekday schedule will operate Wednesday on its bus, rail, light rail and Access Link services on Wednesday. Cross-honoring of tickets will be in effect systemwide.

9:56 a.m. – Route 9 northbound – CLOSED between Farm Road and Casino Drive in Howell with fallen power lines.

8:58 a.m – PATH service – Resumes service on a weekend schedule until further notice  from Newark to World Trade Center and from Journal Square to 33rd Street via Hoboken

All Hudson River crossings and tunnels have been reopened

8:53 a.m. - Route 22 east/westbound – CLOSED between Vosseller Avenue and Thompson Avenue in Bridgewater with an accident and a downed utility pole.

Travel Ban - Governor Christie has lifted travel ban for the ENTIRE STATE as of 7:30 a.m. The remaining ban excludes emergency & public safety personnel as well as utility companies & others assisting in storm preparedness & recovery.

NJ Transit - Rail service will have limited service by this afternoon. Line by line announcements will be made as mandatory federal inspections are completed.

Newark light rail is running now, Hudson Bergen light rail by 11am, River Line light rail by 8am. South Jersey Bus is now operating with modified service, North Jersey Bus will be operating by 11am if not sooner.

7:12 a.m. - Route 9 north/southbound - CLOSED @ Bayshore Drive in Ocean Township (Ocean County) due to fallen power lines.
