BEDMINSTER — President-elect Donald Trump has arrived in New Jersey for meetings as he begins to assemble his White House team.

Trump arrived at his golf club in Bedminster Friday afternoon where he is planning to meet with retired Marine Gen. James Mattis, and 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

Trump's motorcade shut down the Lincoln Tunnel ahead of rush hour Friday evening, causing delays. There are also some temporary road closures in Bedminster and police have blocked parking around the club.

It's unclear whether Republican Gov. Chris Christie will attend after he was recently demoted from transition chairman to vice chairman. The club is about 20 minutes from his home.
