What did you get - and give - for Valentine's Day today? A new report from the National Retail Federation found that Americans were planning to spend more on this year than they did in 2014.

    Candy ranks as the most frequent purchase (53 percent) for Valentine's Day shoppers.

    Over $2 billion will be spent on flowers this weekend.

    While just 21 percent of shoppers will spring for jewelry, a total of $4.8 billion will be spent on the items.
