On Friday, January 13th, I boarded a train to New York City with three of my friends. We were headed to Rockefeller Center for the 60th Anniversary of NBC's Today Show. In my previous blog entry seen on this Townsquare Media site, I explained how much the show means to me. It's because of Today that I pursued journalism and broadcasting as a career. In 1999, I was invited to Studio 1A to take an exclusive tour and meet Matt Lauer, Katie Couric and Jodi Applegate. The video I put together for a high school video production class final won me an award and high marks from my teachers and peers.

Fast forward 13 years later, I was back outside the street-level studio in hopes to talk to Matt & Katie about where I am now. While the day didn't go exactly as planned, it was an incredible experience my friends Russell Hasenauer, Chad Newhall and Christine Schultz documented in a video. Here it is for your viewing pleasure. Please comment and let us know what you think.
