David Clune, 34, was arrested at his Gloucester Township home for sending what police describe as 33 "flirtatious and inappropriate" social media and text messages to the cell phone of a 17-year-old female Timber Creek graduate in an effort to meet up with her between July 4 and July 8.

She reported the messages to a staff member at Timber Creek who then contacted Black Horse Pike Regional School District Superintendent Dr. Brian Repici who reported the incident to police.

The investigation also revealed that Clune had also sent 39 similar messages to an unidentified 18-year-old student during the same period. She had not filed a complaint against Clune.

Neither former student met with Clune nor had any social contact with him during the school year.

Clune was arrested at his home on Wednesday and charged with harassment and released on a criminal summons. In a message posted on the district website, Repici said Clune has been suspended and ordered to stay off school grounds.

Gloucester Township Police ask anyone who believes they were inappropriately contacted by Clune to call them at 856-228-4500.
