NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League, Sammy’s Hope and Just in Time Rescue to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes.

Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Faith

Faith is from a litter of four kittens that was trapped with the intention of spaying/neutering, vaccinating and releasing back to the yard in which they were born. However, her demeanor was not that of a feral cat that would do best living outdoors, even with a diligent caretaker. The decision was made to bring her to the shelter and put her up for adoption. Faith needs some gentle handling and a home where she can relax and learn to trust.

If you are interested in meeting Faith or fostering/adopting her, please email us at cats@sammyshope.org. You can download a PDF copy of the adoption application form here or you can see more adoptable cats from Sammy’s Hope here.

Adopt Tillie

Tillie is an American Staffordshire terrier mix who bonds to people quickly.  She is a sweet dog, but seems pretty intense toward other dogs, so she would probably be best as an only dog. Tillie absolutely loves people and is great with everyone she meets. She has been going to a regular training classes and is doing really well.

If you're interested in learning more about Tillie or to schedule a visit, email dogs@easelnj.org. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs, puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Maylee

Maylee was rescued from a high kill shelter in the South. When she arrived in New Jersey, she quickly got the nickname "Snowball" by her foster family because she loves to play in the snow. This beautiful Labrador Retriever mix is about 4-years-old, housebroken and crate trained. Since she needs to lose a few pounds, we've been giving her healthy treats, like baby carrots. She currently lives with three other dogs and gets along with all of them. In addition to the snow, she also loves music, especially the song "Sing" by The Carpenters. Whenever you play it for her, she wags her tail like crazy. This sweet, quiet girl would do great in a home with a fenced-in yard and older kids. She is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

For more information about adopting Maylee from Just in Time Rescue, email her foster mom at rescuemetami@gmail.com. You can also check out Maylee's Facebook page here.

Hannah is an American Staffordshire terrier mix who came to the shelter as a teenage mother, having recently weened puppies. She loves everyone she meets, knows several commands and loves treats. Hannah is energetic and playful, and will give kisses all day long if you let her.

If you're interested in meeting Hannah or fostering/adopting her, please email us at info@sammyshope.org. You can download a PDF copy of the application form here or you can see more adoptable dogs from Sammy’s Hope here.

Pearl was accidentally trapped during a TNR program, but she's clearly not a feral cat! She is a little scared right now with all she has been through, but she is truly a sweetheart! She does not belong in a shelter or outside. She needs a nice warm, loving home where she can be spoiled and treated like a queen.

To schedule a visit to meet Pearl, please email kitty@easelnj.org or call 609-883-0540. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable cats and kittens here, or download a PDF copy of the application form here.
