The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for central and south Jersey as a line of storms with 60 MPH winds, lightning and possible one-inch hail makes its way east. Heavy rain will likely fall quickly creating minor flooding on some roadways. Mercer, Monmouth, Ocean, Burlington, Atlantic, Camden, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland and Cape May counties are all under the warning until 6:45 p.m. A Watch is in effect until 12 midnight.

The start of the Phillies game with the Colorado Rockies at Citizens Bank Park was delayed because of the rain.

The storms are part of a cold front, according to meteorologist Alan Kasper, that will  bring in cooler weather with temperatures back to the 60s on Wednesday and Thursday.
