A strong thunderstorm with heavy rain, winds of 40 to 50 MPH and cloud-to-ground lightning is moving across the state roughly along Interstate 195 from west to east following a humid day in which temperatures across the state reached the 80s.

A similar line of storms is moving across north Jersey. No warnings or advisories have yet been issued.

Wednesday will be less humid according to meteorologist Alan Kasper, with temperatures reaching 80 or so under partly sunny skies. There could be more thunderstorms on Thursday morning.
